Ebook About
The channeled Guides of I Am the Word provide a concise and immensely powerful program in self-awareness that can ease negative complexes and align your existence with its highest purpose. Humanity has lost itself. Both as individuals and as a world culture, we have forgotten our true nature. In I Am the Word, writer and medium Paul Selig has recorded an extraordinary program for self- realization, as dispensed through beings of higher intelligence, sometimes called Guides or Ascended Masters. These figures seek, as they have in the past, to assist men and women in discovering the higher, purposeful nature-or "Christed Self"-that lies dormant within us all.In a series of enticing, irresistibly practical dialogues, the Guides of I Am the Word identify the emotional "boulders" that displace our authentic selves and consume our potential. The Guides provide to-the-point psychological and existential insights, along with self-developing exercises and affirmations, which begin to strip away residues of fear, self-doubt, and self-suffocating habits.

Book I Am the Word: A Guide to the Consciousness of Man's Self in a Transitioning Time (Mastery Trilogy/Paul Selig Series) Review :

To anyone looking to get into mysticism or New Age, or whatever, think about this: If you're meant to ascend, transcend or whatever you believe, then you were meant to understand it. So be very skeptical of anything that involves classes, training sessions, multiple books, etc.I don’t understand how any objective or critical person could give this book a 5-star review. I ordered all of Selig’s book based on a recommendation and wanted to see what they were about. What instantly concerned me about the writing is the near constant and improper use of fancy technical sounding words like frequency, resonance, tones, etc. Whenever a person reverts to that kind of writing my BS detector starts blinking. No context is given to the reader to help understand and interpret these sentences. What you are left with are confusing and I believe intentionally obfuscated sentences. Don't understand it? Maybe book 2 will help, or a website subscription. Other readers on Amazon have criticized the book as being nearly unreadable and empty. I largely agree. I will show you what I mean, I’ll break apart one of the messages of the “Guides” (pg. 21)“We will speak now to what it means to become the Christ in frequency. It means that you align to a frequency, to a vibratory frequency, that is higher than the physical realm, and that is higher than the emotional realm, and that is higher than the mental planes. It is a high frequency. It is a causal frequency. And the frequency that it emits is one of high frequency that brings to it the Christ.”Ok, getting past the obvious sentence structure issues (you don’t need to repeat "that is" three times in a row, why did no one edit this thing?), what does the passage mean? Well, Paul is saying that Christ is a state of being--a frequency. Since we are given no special definitions for these words (i.e no context), I can only assume that they should make sense to us given our current definitions.Frequency refers to a periodicity of something, like a sound wave, or a light wave. It's not obvious what it means here, you can be in a different state of being (asleep for example), but when you start using a technical term like frequency, you need to explain the usage. Frequency of what? He continues by saying a vibrational frequency, which confuses things further. A vibrational frequency makes no sense if you are talking about something beyond the physical realm as stated above. How can you have a vibration (using our definition of vibration, which is “periodic motion of the particles of an elastic body or medium”) without anything physical? You cannot, and the word is improperly used and therefore confusing. Next we are told that the high frequency, that is beyond physical, emotional, or mental planes, but somehow also a vibrational frequency, is also a causal frequency. He then says, “the frequency that it emits”, I guess he means the Christ when he refers to "it"? It’s not clear what the pronoun "it" refers to in the sentence. If "it" refers to the Christ, then you are given this logic: the Christ state/frequency emits a high, causal, somehow vibrational frequency that brings the Christ to it? That seems circular. I hope you can see why readers say it’s unreadable. These kind of passages are on nearly every page. Now a critic could say that these words mean different things to the “Guides”, and yes that could be true. But, if I was teaching somebody and using words inconsistently, and in some cases contradictory with the student’s language, the teacher could hardly expect to make an impact, yet alone awaken the Christ state planet wide (one of their goals). You’d think that “Ascended Master Guides” would know that right? There is a general message to this book (it’s repeating a lot of Gnostic concepts), and I think that’s what people are getting. In other words, they see the big picture of the text, they understand the “message” or high level concepts that these “Guides” are trying to explain. And it's not a bad message, anything that could make you a better person isn't bad, but the dishonesty of the writer is what bothers me. And he's not the only one guilty of this kind of New Age jargon writing. People buy into this stuff for whatever reason, often when they are at their most vulnerable point, and guys like Paul find ways to profit by repackaging centuries old material and making it sound scientific and technical. Another example is all the quantum consciousness nonsense that New Age is inflicted with. So I think Paul is making it up as he goes along, or better put, painting broad concepts with a very wide brush and that’s why the book contains the same ideas repeated over and over again with slight differences in writing and structure. It reminds me of a student trying to fill a 20 page report with 5 pages of material. And on a practical point, you’d think highly "Ascended Master Guides" would be ethical and would at some point get tired of making money for Paul.
